Walking around I found some of these growing along the road. They're a crocus look-alike (my first guess) that are found in warm climates and as soon as it the bloom dies, it goes dormant. One thing I love about moving is that every new place grows different trees and flowers. The snakes and bugs, I could do without...

I love to garden and landscape design (my own property) which means I find happiness in discovering random flowers growing in areas where I did not expect them. What a nice surprise for you to find these lovelies. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

I love to see what kind of flowers pop up in unexpected places. I remember driving through Texas and seeing the bluebonnets roadside, or even the sunflowers along the interstate driving through the Midwest. Flowers have a way of making themselves at home even in the oddest of spots!
