home is where you are

Sometimes when we move, the time frame is as short as six months. There is no way we could ever paint. Basically our house starts out as a bunch of antiques thrown helter skelter. I like to think of it as "elevated dorm decorating" if that's a style. We hang paintings instead of posters and our fridge is full-sized but covering the ugly flooring with a rug is still the best trick in the book. At any rate, when I come across examples such as this House Beautiful room of white walls elevated by the contents, it gives moment to pause.
