high - low

I found myself making a trip to a Walmart recently to check out plants since our local greenhouse didn't have much for annuals. I know these stores are not everywhere despite the jokes. I didn't really grow up with Walmart (maybe that's just a testament to my parents) but they seem to be in most towns these days. Anyways, I get a little overwhelmed in such a large store (don't even get me started on Bed Bath and Beyond) so I decided to check their site first to have a "plan of attack" for the trip. In the process I found this little lamp for under fifty dollars, it looks very similar to the Pottery Barn style. So here's the Walmart one.

And here's the Pottery Barn for a little over a hundred for the same sized table lamp.

If you like high-low items, you have to check out Copy Cat Chic. Reichel is the queen of finding a good deal! Also has anyone else noticed the plethora of Pottery Barn catalogs? I don't even shop there regularly but I feel like I could bind them all into a massive coffee table book.

This is an excellent match. I can't ever find these. When it comes time to decorate my house I know who I am calling...

Beautiful blog! I am in a similar boat as you...can't do paint/wallpaper or renovate because my husband is military and we move so much and have little to no budget! I'm also in search of ways to make these rentals a home. Your blog is inspiring and I am thrilled to be your newest follower! Hope you have a fabulous day!xoxo
