I love the wreaths on all the windows. I mostly LOVE the floor finish -the sort of washed white. We just did a project with a well known interior designer where we used this finish called 'country white' (instead of brown or ebony stain etc) and it looks just like that -wanted to try it at my own apartment when I have the floors redone.

Hi Ann, What a great exterior. It looks like a lot of houses in Shaker Heights, Ohio, which I am guessing were built around the same time.

Jim, I too like the facade, very classic and simple. I think the decorations are reserved but that's kind of nice too. I'm realizing the hard way that too many things out and my daughter treats them like toys!

Stefan, I like that white stain of country white, a lot more than painted white floors. We've been window shopping for houses online. One of the houses was from 1774, gorgeous, but all the floors were painted white. I know that painted white floors were done but I prefer warmer wood tones in the floors. I think the white wash is a really nice way to keep some of the wood grain.
